Following the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the BO6 campaign will see the return of characters like Russell Adler and Frank Woods. At the same time, the game is introducing a new protagonist in the series in the form of Troy Marshall. He will be joined by the other new intriguing characters namely Jane Harrow, Felix Neumann, and Sevati Dumas. The campaign will offer a 1990s-setting and feature a fictional storyline built around real historical events.
The multiplayer, on the other hand, will bring 16 new multiplayer maps on day one. Among these 16 maps, 12 will core 6v6, while the remaining four will be small-sized strike maps. Two new movement innovations will also be introduced in MP – Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement. The classic prestige and theater mode are also returning alongside various other MP-specific features.
Similarly, Zombies will also be bringing back the round-based variant with two brand-new maps at the launch. However, to access all of the content, players will need to preorder Black Ops 6 or keep their Game Pass subscription activated until the launch of the title in October 2024.
