Rumours state Warzone Mobile will replace Call of Duty Mobile

With lots of ongoing speculations, Call of Duty Mobile is on the verge of phasing out once the Warzone Mobile arrives later in 2023. There is no official statement from activation, but with recent leaks, the game will be phasing out soon. Popular Twitter handles, CharlieIntel, known for their tweets on Call of Duty, recently stated Microsoft’s plans which seem to favour the Warzone Mobile. COD Mobile came into existence in 2019 as a free-to-play multi-mode shooter for iOS and Android. However, Activision is the publisher, but the game is part of Tencent’s subsidiary TiMi Studios. The game features the traditional Call of Duty modes, Zombies, deathmatches and Battle Royale. For fans, it’s still a disbelief as the game will no longer be available.

About the possible replacement of Call of Duty Mobile

According to CharlieIntel’s tweet, Call of Duty Mobile won’t be available much longer. Mainly this implies the people or players living outside of China. The document from CharlieIntel tells the internal notes of the game. It refers to the crave-outs in Activision’s divestment perimeter. It can be assumed that it is a part of the negotiations between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. By explicitly mentioning the part of Call of Duty Mobile’s phasing out, Warzone Mobile will take its place and will once it arrives fully for smartphones. However, the game will be operational in China and get all the company’s support.

Comments made by fans regarding this decision

Once Microsoft responded to the UK Government’s Competition and Markets Authority, the company mentioned the phasing out of the game. This generated a lot of anticipation among the fans as many came ahead with demands for significant multiplayer offerings, as many were disheartened. It comes as the worst decision as Call of Duty Mobile has made a good place in the market with its absolute dedication towards esports. With COD mobile being removed, it will somehow disrupt the esports scenario in the near future.

Warzone Mobile’s possible setting

With these things in mind, Warzone Mobile will have the traditional multiplayer mode. Players can participate in the Team Deathmatch and Dominations with maps like Scrapyard and Superstore from Modern Warfare 2. Well, nothing is confirmed yet, but more maps will arrive later. The complete release of the game can tell the possible outcome.

Conclusion

With no confirmation yet, fans and players can only wait for the official announcement from Activision. But Sony is trying hard to stop Microsoft’s deal, and the decision will be made soon on the 25th of April by the UK Competition and Markets Authority. Till then, read more on Call of Duty Mobile’s removal from the Apple App Store.
