New online social hub
The latest online feature, the Battle Hub, will effectively serve as the game’s social hub. Players will also be able to buy new outfits for their character avatar, choose a fight with another player, and even play arcade versions of previous classic titles like Street Fighter 2 and Final Fight. According to producer Shuhei Matsumoto, it was during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown that the concept came to their minds.
What to expect from Capcom Cup X?
As announced during the award show, the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 will have both online and offline events this year. The complete schedule is not yet announced, which everyone awaits. This is a massive step in the history of the FGC (Fighting Game Community). None of the Fighting game tournaments had this much of a prize pool. The announcement not only influences those competing for the prize pool but also brings in new players who want to compete for the top spot. Capcom Cup X is set to come soon with a strong foundation, thanks to the promising future of Street Fighter 6.
