Chainsaw Man Chapter 185 Recap
The Aging Devil tells Denji that he made the world inescapable. All the trees around them were once humans, who tried to escape for thousands of years. After arriving at some sort of an answer, they turned into trees. Unlike what others believe, it’s not the Aging Devil’s powers that turn people into trees. It’s an innate mechanism that kicks in after a person reaches the culmination of thought. He wants other humans to live for much longer and find those possibilities, even if that comes at a cost.
The scene moves to the real world where the Aging Devil is sitting on top of an elderly man that says he needs to live longer for Japan and the rest of the world. However, Denji says that he ran for an extended amount of time to make himself hungry. Unlike the rest of the Aging Devil’s captive, Denji’s stomach is connected to Pochita in the real world. He then walks to Asa, who hands him an axe made with the tooth of a devil Denji previously puked out.
With the weapon, he starts cutting down a tree, which causes the human in it to scream. The other man tells him to stop since he’s hurting a person, but Denji says he knows that. Suddenly, blood and organs start pouring out of the tree’s body. Denji starts eating the innards and pulls on the cord in his chest to get the blood to Pochita. Back in the real world, Pochita, in his Chainsaw Devil form, wakes up thanks to the blood Denji provided him with. The Aging Devil warns the Public Safety Officials of the arrival of Pochita

The manga has taken a sudden one-week break after revealing Denji’s surprisingly smart plan. Pochita will likely attack the Public Safety officials in the upcoming issue as he now intends to destroy the Aging Devil and free Denji. Fans are looking forward to what might happen to the people of the world if the Aging Devil is killed. Once Asa and Denji are back in the real world, Yoru might try to fight the Chainsaw Devil again, which could have some devastating consequences. Asa might also reveal the reality about herself and Yoru to Denji.
