Call of Duty: Season 8 ‘Shadow Operatives’ update is already out along with the official patch notes, revealing all-new upcoming content. The new CODM season has brought LAG 53 assault rifle, Combine MP map, Assassin perk, and a lot more additions, which players will get to experience throughout September 2024. In the following guide, players can check out key additions that COD Mobile Season 8 Shadow Operatives update has brought to the game.
What Are New Additions That COD Mobile Season 8 Shadow Operatives Update Has Brought?
With the new CODM update Activision has introduced the latest Battle Pass featuring premium and free rewards. The Season 8 Battle Pass lineup also features a new weapon and a perk, which are available via free tiers. Similarly, there are many other new Season 8 additions, which fans can find as follows:
New Weapon – LAG 53
LAG 53 is an all-new semi-automatic assault rifle that Activision has introduced with the COD Mobile Season 8 Shadow Operatives update. The gun has a low rate of fire and significant suppression. Due to its decent range and accuracy, LAG 53 is an ideal weapon to use in mid and long-range, but should be avoided in CQC situations.
New Perk – Assassin
Assassin is the all-new perk that players can find COD Mobile Season 8 Battle Pass. The perk allows players to earn streaks faster during an MP match. At the same time, the perk also indicates the position of enemies on a streak. Besides, players using the Assassin perk can gain more score by taking out enemies (in comparison to typical eliminations).
New Map – Combine
Combine from Call of Duty: Black Ops III is another key addition that Activision announced before launching the COD Mobile Season 8 Shadow Operatives update. The map features a small-sized research outpost in the Sahara Desert, where most of the action takes place in the two main buildings. The map also features a central courtyard, narrow outer lanes, tight interior spaces, and more. Combine is ideal for close-range clashes and players will get to experience Season 7’s Uplink mode on the map.
COD Mobile Season 8 Shadow Operatives Battle Pass
The new season has introduced the latest Battle Pass content, which features multiple free camos and accessories. At the same time, there are four operator skins and five new Epic weapon blueprints that have arrived with Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 Battle Pass (Premium rewards):

- Samael — Techno Thug
- Stone — Doombringer
- Iskra — Toxic Shadow
- Zoe — Nocturnal

A brand-new Mythic weapon blueprint is all-set to debut after the COD Mobile Season 9 Shadow Operatives update. In Season 8, players get to use the Phoenix-themed Mythic JAK-12 — Rising Ashes. It will feature flaming feathers and a bird’s head at the barrel. Besides the Mythic JAK, players who own Mythic Krig 6 – Ice Drake, will get to unlock new Awaken camo, which will be applicable on both blueprints and will feature an animated iridescent design.
The Season 8 will bring two new Legendary weapon blueprints for HDR and MK9, while the Challenge Pass has also received an update. As the update is out now, players can download and install the latest version, log into the game, and experience the new Season 8 (2024) content.
