Activision’s annual live stream, Call of Duty Next 2023, returned with new intel on Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile, and fans were finally able to catch a glimpse of the actual gameplay of each game. During the event, developers also unveiled Urzikstan as the new Warzone map players will experience in the upcoming iteration of Call of Duty’s Battle Royale FPS.
For those unaware, Urzikstan is based on the eponymous country from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), where Farah Karim’s campaign takes place. The new Warzone map features identical locations in war-torn areas of Western Asia. The new BR map, Urzikstan, features 11 unique points of interest, where players can land, scavenge for supplies, and experience varying fighting situations.

As mentioned, the Battle Royale map for Call of Duty: Warzone, which players will see being connected to Modern Warfare III, features 11 unique POIs alongside multiple other locations. Apart from the newly unveiled map, there have been some innovations and additions that fans will see in the new iteration of Call of Duty: Warzone, post the launch of MW3 in November 2023.

Apart from the POIs and locations, the new iteration of Warzone will bring some features with new twists for the Call of Duty fans, which they will get to experience in Warzone:
- New: ADS while sliding
- Brand-new Tac-Stance
- Slide Canceling
- 150 Base Health
- Classic Red Dot Mini Map
- Multiple other QoL and Perk updates
- A darker 3-lane “Urzikstan” Gulag
In the upcoming Warzone map, players will also access new horizontal zip lines that will allow them to have increased maneuverability. One will also get to control the train for the first time in the history of Call of Duty.
Apart from Urzikstan being the brand-new Battle Royale and Plunder map in Warzone, developers have also confirmed Vondel and Ashika Island as Resurgence game mode maps. Raven Software, the developer behind Warzone, has worked closely with Sledgehammer Games to bring identical gameplay, mechanics, and movement to MW3.
