All you need to know about the Limited Test
Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test is currently up and a few players have already got their invitations from Valve. As mentioned above, account consideration is the main thing. Once developers are done collecting feedback, they will extend the invitations. Currently, there is no particular structure being followed by Valve, and selected players will get a pop-up which will confirm that they are chosen to try the Limited Test. As of now, the pop-up will surface on the main menu of CS:GO.
Invitation Pop-up
Once a player receives an invitation, they will have to Enroll for that to continue with the downloading process. Once the download is done, players have to launch CS:GO and select the Limited Test option to play Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test.
What to expect from the Limited Test?
Over time, players will be added to Limited Test and all they need to do is keep a watch on their CS:GO main menu. As of now, the game is set to arrive in the Summer of 2023. In the Limited Test, players will be able to get into Deathmatch actions and Unranked Competitive matchmaking on Dust2. As time moves on, more limited test releases will be made to the game modes, maps and features. With official statements, players can report while testing the game. The whole CS:GO inventory will be ported into Counter-Strike 2. There will be no availability of the workshop maps and community servers.
In Conclusion
