The latest issue of Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga revealed that a teacher forced Kouki’s power on her, making her able to see and control the pygmies. After she tells everyone her name, Aira reminds her about the time they had played against each other at piano competitions. Unfortunately, the tiny pygmies are unable to help Momo with turning back to her normal size. But the addition of Kouki to their group might make one theory true.
Dandadan Chapter 175 Explained How Kouki Got Her Powers
Kouki reveals that the mysterious teacher had given her a pocket knife and told her to steal Momo’s ability with it. But there were some conditions for stealing the power, which Kouki doesn’t remember anymore. Momo believes that the teacher might have done something to Kouki to make her forget everything. Kouki also reveals that the same person cut her with another knife, giving her the ability to see and control millions of little pygmies. Even though they try to protect her, Kouki hates the pygmies as they creep her out. Queen Sensei then reveals the secret behind these creatures.
One of her former students once saw a little man, and she did some digging about it. According to legends, pygmies were once people who were driven from the surface world into the ground by the powerful. Though they don’t remember their origins, the pygmies still try to help those who can see them in the hopes of being acknowledged. The touching story makes Kouki remember how her friends and family ignored her, making her burst into tears. Momo then asks her if the pygmies know how she can turn back to her normal size. Unfortunately, they don’t know anything about it.
Aira is curious about the owner of these magical knives that can not only steal powers but also grant them. Now that Kouki has been found, he might attack other members of the group. She tells everyone to stick together as much as possible. Momo says that they should keep an eye on Kouki, and whenever the teacher tries to contact her, they can catch them. Aira agrees and asks the girl for her full name. Kouki Yukishiro states her name, and Aira asks whether she is the girl who won the junior piano competition.
Aira And Kouki’s Connection Might Lead To A New Friendship
We learn that Aira had lost to Kouki once in a piano competition when they were kids. However, Aira worked hard and won the first prize the next year, which made Kouki believe she had no talent and quit playing altogether. When Kouki learns that Aira also quit piano, she starts arguing with her about why she would do that after making Kouki think she had no aptitude. Aira says that piano was a pain in the neck, but people who always go on about talent without ever working hard are the worst.
The chapter ends with Kinta finally waking up from his unconsciousness after being hit by Queen Sensei. There is a fan theory which believes that Momo and Okarun’s group might grow until it reaches nine members, which is the same number of Buddhas that were shown in the Dandadan picture in chapter 163. With Kouki’s addition to the group, the member number will reach nine. This might finally help Saint Germain commemorate the Dandadan, which we still know nothing about. What fans are more worried about is how the team will fight an opponent nobody can remember.
In the latest issue, Queen Sensei mentions having a student who once saw a tiny man. After learning about their origin, the student is now searching everywhere for these little men. It is likely that they might be able to help Momo with going back to her original size. This means fans might soon be introduced to a new character who will make the story more interesting. Seiko Ayase, who we haven’t seen for some time now, will likely appear again soon. Readers are eager to see whether Turbo Granny, a beloved character, will ever come back.
