Dandadan Chapter 174 Recap
After suddenly seeing their school nurse, Momo wonders how she can enter Empty Space since only people with spiritual powers can access it. Kouki lies and says Jiji, Kinta, and Vamola were chasing and harassing her for no reason. The nurse, known as Queen Sensei, asks whoever is bothering Kouki to step forward since she has zero tolerance for cowards who bully others. Jiji tries to communicate that Kouki attacked one of their friends first, but since Momo is so tiny, Queen Sensei can’t see her and refuses to believe it.
Vamola also tries to reason with the nurse, but her weird spacesuit makes her even angrier. However, Jiji gathers the courage and steps up to say that a woman who is precious to him was attacked by Kouki. The girl tries to lie once again by saying how they ganged up on her. However, Queen Sensei can see the millions of pygmies she has around her and confronts her about it. We learn that many students came to the nurse with their problems with spiritualism. After attending many exorcisms and other rituals, she also started to see spirits and can now enter the Empty Space.
After being caught in her lie, Kouki breaks down crying and admits to attacking Momo. Angry, Queen Sensei hits her, but the others stop her in time. Later, everyone, including Aira and Okarun, gathers in the nurse’s office where Kouki tells them about a teacher who blackmailed her with the erotic pictures of herself she had posted online. However, she can’t seem to remember who the teacher was. Momo says this sounds like the work of the same person who helped Zuma. However, Kouki clarifies that the person didn’t ask her to kill Momo but stole her powers instead.

Fans already know that the person Kouki is talking about is Count Saint Germain or Sanjome, who claims to be an avid collector of the supernatural. Since he wanted Kouki to steal Momo’s powers, we can assume that he wants to collect the power of everyone who has spiritual abilities, including Aira and Jiji. Queen Sensei will likely team up with Okarun and Momo to help Kouki and identify the person who’s controlling her. Momo’s grandmother Seiko Ayase might also appear in the story soon since she is a powerful spirit medium who can help them.
