Based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga series of the same name, Dandadan is one of the most anticipated anime releases of the Fall 2024 season. This brand-new show by Science SARU will highlight how Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, two high schoolers with opposing supernatural beliefs, will get tangled up in paranormal adventures following their unfortunate run-in with a Yokai and some aliens.

The first installment of the series will come out on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 8:26 AM PST. The anime will release new episodes weekly and fans can watch them on both Netflix and Crunchyroll.

Dandadan Episode 1 Predictions
The show will begin with the introduction of Momo Ayase, a high school student who saves a classmate from bullying after breaking up with her boyfriend. Momo learns that the guy’s name is Ken Takakura but calls him Okarun since it’s also her favorite actor’s name. But the two get into an argument since Momo believes in ghosts and Takakura believes in aliens. To prove who is right in their stance, Takakura decides to go to an infamously haunted tunnel while Momo has to visit an abandoned building which is known for alien activity.
However, things turn south really soon when Takakura faces a vengeful ghost named Turbo Granny who wants to take his ‘family jewels’. On the other hand, Momo is captured by some aliens who want to use her as an incubator for their children. After getting possessed by Turbo Granny, Takakura daringly tries to save his friend. Momo also unleashes her hidden psychic abilities during the attack. The first episode will highlight the beginning of the bizarre story and focus on the two protagonists. Soon, more characters such as Momo’s grandmother Seiko, and her classmate Aira will be introduced.
