Dandadan Episode 7 Recap
Okarun and Momo start running away after taking Aira’s unconscious body from Acrobatic Silky. Enraged, the massive Yokai begins chasing them around the warehouse. This causes her long hair to get caught up in various exposed parts of the building. Once she couldn’t move, Momo asked Okarun to go all out and land a kick to the weakened Yokai, finally defeating her. Despite delivering a full-powered attack, Turbo Granny reveals that Acrobatic Silky will only stay down for a while. The three then retrieve Okarun’s golden ball from Aira, who was still lying down.
Turbo Granny says that Aira has died, as it’s impossible for a normal human to survive a full-fledged Yokai attack. Momo and Okarun try to resuscitate her to no avail. Just then, Acrobatic Silky arrives and tells Momo to take her aura from inside her body and give it to Aira, which will save her life. Not knowing what else to do, Momo does as she is told. While looking into the soul of the Yokai, she discovers that the woman used to be a poor ballet dancer. The only family she had was a young daughter.
To make sure her daughter could live happily, the woman did everything, including selling her body. However one day, some debt collectors came to her house, beating her up and taking her daughter with them. This caused the mother to go into shock and take her life. As a spirit she met Aira, who had lost her mother at a young age. The little girl called her Mommy, causing Silky to stick with her. After this gut-wrenching story, Momo successfully moves Silky’s aura into Aira’s body. As the Yokai starts to disappear, Aira walks to her and hugs her one last time.

After such a traumatic and heavy installment, the manga might move to a more lighthearted narrative soon. Okarun will get back one of his balls. From the short preview that has been released, fans will get to see the scene where Aira tries to kiss Okarun. This will lead to a misunderstanding between Momo and Okarun, who have developing feelings for each other. Moreover, the infamous monster Nessie might also appear in the next issue. People are also excited about Aira joining Okarun and Momo’s group.
