Recent Deadlock hero leaks have provided interesting details about the possible next addition to the roster. The potential 22nd hero is named Cadence and her abilities help the team to be on song, pun intended. Each ability of the hero has an associated theme. Interestingly, one of the placeholder music is from Portal 2, a puzzle platformer by Valve that was released in 2011.
Deadlock Hero Leaks Reveals Cadence, A Music Master With Impressive AoE Skills
A distinguishing feature of Cadence’s appearance is that one of the horns on her blue helmet is broken, possibly indicating her experience in shooting battles. She also has two yellow braids with small red bands. Cadence is bulky, which when combined with her leaked abilities, further highlights that she will thrive in team play as a support hero and possess decent health.
Thanks to a recent gameplay clip by @IntelDeadlock, Cadence’s abilities have been revealed. The character is still in the early version so there could be changes to her kit. Currently, as per the Deadlock hero leaks, each of her abilities has specific music and appealing VFX.
Cadence’s leaked four abilities, their range, cooldown, and provided respective buffs are as follows:-

Now, let us understand how the abilities affect the enemy. Cadence’s Anthem has a long range, a sort of “AoE buff” as mentioned by Deadlock Intel. It improves her peek-fire accuracy significantly along with the clip bonus. Silence Contraptions is a short dash feature that is similar to the one possessed by Shiv.
Lullaby, as the name suggests, puts enemies to sleep. It is a most intriguing ability due to its range and the buffs it provides to Cadence. Lastly, Crescendo is the ultimate skill of the character. It charms and then damages the enemies considerably. The damage is dealt after three seconds after the enemies are forced to bow.

Making enemies bow to your music rather than dance is certainly empowering. Cadence could be one of the meta characters in Deadlock following her release in the alpha version. Currently, Shiv, Seven, and Lady Geist are the preferred picks for the team-based MOBA shooter.
