Detective Dotson Gameplay Trailer: Take Testimonies, Switch Disguises, While Roaming Richly Detailed Streets Of India
Mr. Dotson is a ‘reluctant detective’, solving petty problems like why Mrs. Sengupta didn’t get invited to a kitty party, to investigating elaborately planned murders. There are various cases available to players in the form of chapters. Apart from unraveling mysteries, players can also partake in Dotson’s journey to becoming a Bollywood actor.
The Detective Dotson gameplay trailer showcased the protagonist penning Karishma’s testimony. Players will need to interact with different NPCs to get to the conclusion of a case. This will help Dotson to piece the solution on the detective board and move on to the next witness.
Masala Games also included stealth elements in the game. Dotson can disguise as a holy man, policeman, cook, or guard, to gain entry at certain locations. Subsequently, he can question victims or witnesses without raising suspicions or watch out for any peculiar activity. Multiple NPCs were shown in the Detective Dotson gameplay trailer; each could have valuable news for the main character.
During some situations, Mr. Dotson needs to hide from NPCs and even the police by finding interactable objects. Moreover, the detective must destroy CCTV cameras with throwables such as plant pots to avoid blowing his cover. It adds another layer to the player-world interaction in Detective Dotson.
Perhaps, the biggest reveal in the Detective Dotson gameplay trailer is that players can pet the dog, who also follows the character during his adventures.
