With Lima Major win, Gaimin Gladiators clinches first-ever Dota 2 Major trophy
First-ever Dota 2 Major tournament on South American soil, Lima Major came to a close yesterday with Gaimin Gladiators as the champions. Fans witnessed another encounter between Gaimin Gladiators vs. Team Liquid as the teams met again for the Grand Final clash. The Lima Major has been a great tournament for the West European Gaimin Gladiators. They kept a good shape throughout the tournament. Starting from the Group Stage actions, the team secured the top spot and continued flawlessly in the Playoffs without dropping any game. The final hurdle was the Grand Final. The team again had a tremendously dominating performance, leading them to a 3-0 victory in the best of 5 games and securing the Lima Major Trophy.
A promising performance from Gaimin Gladiators
Gaimin Gladiators maintained a pretty good shape starting their Journey back in ESL One Stockholm 2022, the first major of the 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit. The team played well and secured 4th position, and later in The International 2022, they were prominent enough to secure 11th place. Since then, many speculations were raised regarding the team’s future, and eventually, the team fulfilled the beliefs and clinched their first-ever Dota 2 Major trophy at the Lima Major. The Grand Final: Gaimin Gladiators vs. Team Liquid
The series began with Game 1 with Gaimin Gladiators going on a rampage. Anton Shkredov, aka dyrachyo mainly played Lina and carried his team single-handedly. Gaimin Gladiators picked up a good show in the laning phase and wanted to secure a victory quickly. But Team Liquid managed to stall the attacks and took the game for around 45 minutes and 12 seconds. dyrachyo and Quinn, with Lina and Timbersaw, snatched the game away from Team Liquid with 11 and 12 kills each.

Game 2 of the series started off well again for the Gaimin Gladiators. Lina and Pangolier, picked by dyrachyo and Quinn, gave Gaimin Gladiators another rampage over Team Liquid. Quinn picked up 10 kills with Pangolier and dyrachyo, with Lina again accumulating 8 kills. Given enough lead, Gaimin Gladiators won the game in 21 minutes and 13 seconds.
The final show gives Gaimin Gladiators the title
Team Liquid began with another lineup of Lina for dyrachyo with a good hero lineup. However, Team Liquid gave an excellent strong play with proper execution, but Gaimin Gladiators made it difficult for their opponents. The game lasted for 42 minutes and 16 seconds, with dyrachyo picking up 13 kills and Quinn again with 11 kills playing Tusk. A complete victory for Gaimin Gladiators as the team remained a top performer.
