Week 1 action commenced yesterday for DPC SEA 2023 Tour 1: Division I
DPC SEA 2023 Tour 1: Division I organised by Epulze and sponsored by Rivalry kicked off with its opening week 1 matches yesterday 9th January. A total of 8 teams are seen in action, the top 3 teams will move to the major. It features a prize pool of $205,000 which will be split among the 8 participants. The tournament is divided into three different weeks, the first two weeks will feature 3 different match days while the final week will have four match days.

Recap of week 1
The teams began the opening day with the first match between Execration vs Talon Esports, the second match was played between Fnatic vs Geek Slate and the final game of the day was Blacklist International vs Bleed eSports.
Match 1: Execration vs Talon Esports (Best of 3 score: 2-0)
- Game 1: Execration picked Lina, Marci, Treant Protector, Tiny, and Doom. Talon Esports picked Tusk, Nature’s Prophet, Clockwerk, Crystal Maiden, and Drow Ranger. The game went on for 35 minutes and 47 seconds with Execration winning Game 1.
- Game 2: Execration picked Mirana, Visage, Riki, Batrider, and Slark. Talon went ahead with Ember Spirit, Enchantress, DawnBreaker, Phantom Lancer, and Pangolier. Execration won the game after a fight of 32 minutes and 13 seconds.
Match 2: Fnatic vs Geek Slate (Best of 3 score: 0-2)

Match 3: Blacklist International vs Bleed eSports (Best of 3 score: 2-1)
- Game 1: Blacklist International began with Treant Protector, Broodmother, Snapfire, Leshrac, and Shadow Fiend. Bleed eSports picked Phoenix, Tiny, Crystal Maiden, Slark, and Pangolier. The game concluded after 44 minutes and 23 seconds and Bleed eSports claimed the win.
- Game 2: Following the defeat, Blacklist International this time picked Clockwerk, Nature’s Prophet, Hoodwink, Centaur Warrunner, and Kunkka. Bleed eSports picked Lina, Marci, Chen, Puck, and Night Stalker. The game got over after 30 minutes and 9 seconds with Blacklist International coming out as the winner.
- Game 3: It was a game of 49 minutes and 36 seconds, with Blacklist securing the win. The best of 3 game score remained 2-1.
Following the conclusion of the above games, Blacklist International currently leads the standings followed by Execration and Geek Slate. Matchday 2 will be played on 11th January.
