One of the most awaited releases this October is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the next entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series after over a decade. Developer Spike Chunsoft and publisher Bandai Namco will collaborate again to bring a graphically enhanced Dragon Ball fighting game with different modes, mechanics, and controls.
Among the distinguishing aspects of Sparking! ZERO from other titles in the series is the wider roster. There will be more variants of popular characters such as Beast Gohan, Ape Vegeta, and ‘Gohan Absorbed’ Super Buu. To make matters more interesting, recent Dragon Ball Sparking Zero leaks specify that the roster would be larger than the one originally revealed by Bandai.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Leaks Reveal A Larger Roster Than The One Officially Disclosed
The official website of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero shows 154 characters, the recently included ones being the GT variants of Goku, Pan, Vegeta, Super Baby, Great Ape, and Omega Shenron. However, according to the official confirmation, the anime game will feature 164 characters. Tenkaichi 3 features 98 characters. The difference between the roster of the two titles allegedly is more than one believes.
Ahead of the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero release, a video from a Japanese source has been doing rounds on social media. The clip, lasting over 2 minutes, allegedly showcases the entire roster and ends with a fight between two of the most popular characters in the DB franchise. Sparking! ZERO seems to offer more than previously believed.

Based on the leaked clip, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will feature 182 selectable characters, a number that includes the exclusive character available in pre-orders. X user @DbsHype claimed that the leak emerged from a Japanese media company that uploaded the gameplay on their YouTube channel. Even though the channel was unlisted, fans found the video.
A previous leak by @DbsHype, which revealed the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero file size, also claimed that the fighting game will feature “over 180 characters.” This isn’t surprising considering that the roster includes variants of almost every character from different anime series such as Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball GT Dragon Ball Z, and the original classic.
Which Is The Exclusive Character In The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Pre-Orders?
According to the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero leaks, the pre-order exclusive character is the Daima variant of Goku. The first episode of Dragon Ball Daima will air on the launch day of Sparking! ZERO. This is a brilliant decision by Bandai Namco as it would draw both old and new fans to the anime series.
The Goku Daima variant will be available in every pre-order, be it the Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, or Premium Edition. Moreover, players will be granted six playable characters for free which includes different variants of Vegeta and Broly.
