The recently concluded Xbox Partner Preview October 2024 featured a showcase of as many as 15 titles & DLC expansions. One of the titles to feature at the event was EDENS ZERO, an action RPG, which is all-set to launch in 2025. The anime game, which draws its inspiration from Hiro Mashima’s sci-fi manga and its animated adaptation, features an open world setting. The game is slated to drop on PC (Windows) and Xbox Series X/S, while its PlayStation 5 release is still unconfirmed.
EDENS ZERO Open World ARPG To Be Centered Around Shiki Granbell And His Friends Cosmic Adventure
Based on the narrative from the manga and anime, KONAMI’s upcoming action RPG will also feature the space adventures of Shiki Granbell and his friends across the cosmos. The announcement trailer of the 3D ARPG presented some slick moves from the Netflix anime series, while also confirming the availability of multiple playable characters. Like Shiki Granbell, each character will have certain powers, which players will be able to utilize in the combat.
At the time of the writing, only an announcement trailer has been released, which players can find on Xbox’s official YouTube channel. Players can expect a confirmation around the release date in the upcoming months, while an official Xbox store page for the game is live now. For the unversed, the game was initially teased in September 2020, when KONAMI dropped a video clip confirming two EDENS ZERO game projects for consoles and mobile, respectively.
The 3D ARPG is still in its development phase and fans will have to wait a little bit more until the next announcement or update from KONAMI’s side. Until the game makes its way to PC or Xbox consoles, fans can catch the anime on Netflix (or Crunchyroll) or check out the original manga.
