It’s the 9th edition of The Game Awards this year. And the wait to know who all are nominated is almost over. Next Monday, 14th November, the host and the producer of the show, Geoff Keighley will announce the nominees at around 9am Pacific Time, and 5pm GMT. Online voting will also be opened soon. The show revealing the nominations will be livestreamed on Twitter, Twitch and YouTube.
The Game Awards is basically an annual award show commemorating the triumph of video game industry worldwide. Just like the previous edition, the venue this year remains Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles. The D-Day not only celebrates the best gamers and games across the globe, it also showcases the games to be released next year. The victors are decided by the Jury and public voting via social media. The cardinal part of The Game Awards is the producer and the host of the show, Geoff Keighley- a Canadian games journalist and television presenter.

Apart from the regular categories, a new category has been added this year, Best Adaptation. It is basically a category that felicitates video games that have been adapted by different popular media- like movies, streaming shows, novels, podcasts and comic books.
Expectations are always high from this award show. The Game Awards 2022 will be livestreamed for free worldwide across forty different digital platforms- Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok live, Facebook and many more.
