The announcement trailer for the upcoming Far Cry 6 expansion, Lost Between Worlds, is out. Here is what we got from it.
Far Cry 6 has been out for over two years now, and a few days back the upcoming expansion for the game, Lost Between Worlds, was announced. Back then, we did not know much about this expansion, but a new announcement trailer is out, and with it, we know almost everything about what to expect from this new expansion.
Here is a brief description of the new trailer:
The trailer starts off with the protagonist of Far Cry 6, Dani, resting on the hood of a car in the beach. Moments later, a purple meteor crashes nearby, and upon investigating, she is assaulted by a strange alien orb which rises out of the crash site. She shoots it back, and then everything fades away, and Dani passes out.
Later, when she wakes up, we get to know that she was transported to a different dimension or world. She died as well, however, was brought back by the otherworldly orb which describes itself as a non-corporeal extraterrestrial consciousness. That entity reveals that to get out of there, Dani needs to help it fix its vessel.
Then we see Dani using special alien guns, that looks super cool, and amazing, to defeat hordes of aliens and other strange beings. We then get to see multiple landscapes of this new world. The alien entity describes this world as a fractured world and a non-linear progression of rifts. Each of these rifts has a different reality, and also different rules.
Another thing we got to see in this trailer is that the rifts have different rules of physics, as we see various floating landscapes, and it reminded me a lot of Destiny 2’s Dreaming City.
Overall, this upcoming expansion seems a great addition to the game and will bring a unique, and fresh experience to Far Cry 6.
