Elemental Shrines in Fortnite battle royale were added as part of the Fortnite X Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration on April 9, 2024. These shrines are all over the map but each has a fixed location. They can be easy to spot as these temple-like constructs are situated near popular POIs and have an elemental symbol on the top.
Elemental Shrines give Element Bending abilities to players in the form of manuscripts. Players simply need to approach the shrine, activate it by pressing the mentioned key shown on the screen, and collect different techniques. The technique they learn depends on which element the shrine belongs to.
Elemental Shrine Locations In Fortnite
There are eight Elemental Shrines. Out of the eight shrines, two are dedicated to the Firebending, two to Waterbending, two to Earthbending, and two to Airbending. Collect the manuscripts for one of these techniques and it will let you learn powerful abilities.
We have listed the location of each Elemental Shrine in this Fortnite guide:-
- Firebending Shrine – North-west of Seaside Villa
- Firebending Shrine – North of Rebel’s Roost, almost at the island’s edge.
- Waterbending Shrine – West of Class Courts, facing Cloistered Castle.
- Waterbending Shrine – East of Summit Temple.
- Earthbending Shrine – On the small island between Placid Pumps and Lil Villa.
- Earthbending Shrine – Southwest of Pleasant Plaza, near Coastal Columns.
- Airbending Shrine – On the hill next to Brawler’s Battleground.
- Airbending Shrine – North of Grand Glacier.
Each elemental ability gives players different powers. Waterbending in Fortnite allows players to heal themselves while they are in water and hurl icicles at the enemy. Firebending users can produce flames that arc toward foes or create massive explosions. Airbending can be used to gain elevation regardless of where a player is standing while Earthbending users can hurl boulders at foes or use them as a shield.

The arrival of elemental attacks in the battle royale game has increased its competitiveness. Gunfights rage near shrines at the beginning and players have also been able to use Waterbending or Airbending in unique ways to be the last person standing.
