* This fall, Disney Villains and The Incredibles will make their appearance in Fortnite.
Disney’s Fortnite-exclusive D23 livestream revealed exciting details about the upcoming content. Hosted before the release of Chapter 5 Season 4, the livestream highlighted two upcoming events related to superheroes and supervillains, one involving Pixar animation studio. A disappointing update was also shared regarding the release window for the primary Fortnite Disney crossover.
Rumored Fortnite Disney Crossover Release Window
According to reliable Fortnite leaker @SamLeakss on X, the Fortnite Disney crossover is slated for late 2026. The official release window wasn’t disclosed by EPIC Games during the D23 livestream. However, an article on disneyparksblog.com mentions that the “new experience is still a few years away,” indicating that it might indeed be scheduled for 2026.
Disney’s partnership with EPIC Games was officially revealed in a press release on February 7, 2024. The two had multiple collabs in the past, dating back to 2018 when Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlets were released in Fortnite. Interestingly, the new deal between the two companies is a part of their vision for “an all-new games and entertainment universe” which will include more Disney-related experiences in Fortnite.
Each Upcoming Content For The Fortnite Disney Collaboration
The debut of the ‘entertainment universe’ by the Fortnite Disney crossover is eagerly expected for 2026. However, the release of the massive update is going to be set up perfectly by upcoming Disney-related content. Fortnite x Disney Villains is one of the events that was revealed in the D23 livestream by Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella de Vil are featured in the teaser for Disney Villains in Fortnite battle royale. These vile villains will be welcomed in Fortnite in the Fall of 2024. The release window was disclosed via an official blog.
Also arriving this Fall is Pixar’s The Incredibles. Frozone, ElastiGirl, and Mr. Incredible are the confirmed characters for Fortnite’s upcoming event. Interestingly, Disney mentioned it to be the “first from Pixar”, meaning there might be more Pixar-related events being planned.
Starting from August 12, more Star Wars cosmetics will appear in the Fortnite Item Shop. The new items include IG-11, Moff Gideon, and a dynamic Grogu Back Bling. Baby Yoda can be seen at the end of the trailer.
Paving the way for the Disney x Fortnite crossover will be the next Chapter itself. The Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom is in the spotlight for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Marvel-themed cosmetics such as the Gwenpool, Doctor Doom, and Captain America skins are rumored to be introduced in the new chapter.
