According to recent leaks, EPIC Games is planning a second OG Chapter. The potential Fortnite OG Chapter 2 has created a buzz on social media. Not only do the leaks highlight the time of the update but it has also let the cat out of the bag about a new Fortnite BR Map. No official information has been provided by EPIC but that hasn’t stopped fans from rejoicing.
Fortnite Leaks: EPIC Games’ Battle Royale Set To Return To Its Roots After Chapter 5
Popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR took to X and revealed the fascinating news of the return of Fortnite OG Chapter 2. According to one of her posts on July 16, 2024, Fortnite will take a trip in the time machine and release some of the Chapter 2 content. The update was originally released in October 2019.
Fortnite OG Chapter 2 is rumored to return for one month following the ending of Chapter 5 Season 4 in late October. Adding to the recent Fortnite leaks, Shiina mentioned that the OG Chapter will be succeeded by Chapter 6, which will debut a brand new Battle Royale map.
Given that Fortnite is going old school, players may see the return of popular Points of Interest (PoIs) on the BR Map. They could get to experience Apollo Island, Craggy Cliffs, Dirty Docks, Slurpy Swamp, Weeping Woods, and more in the upcoming update.
Although Chapter 1 marked the debut of the unique shooter title, Fortnite’s popularity skyrocketed after Chapter 2. The developers introduced multiple mechanics that became a highlight of the game while the characters finally learned to swim. Moreover, the bug fixes and QoL improvements made the BR title stand out from the rest of the competition.
The strategy to re-introduce content from previous updates has been highly effective. In April, Tencent debuted the original Erangel Map in PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds after which there was a moderate increase in the Steam playerbase. Twitch streamer Shroud, synonymous with PUBG PC, hyped the mode in an official trailer.

Based on the leaks, OG Chapter 2 will roll out after the ending of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 which will be themed on Marvel. The superhero action will be met by the supervillain Doctor Doom, the Marvel character rumored to appear as a boss on the BR Map.
