Another season of Fortnite OG is supposedly in the works. The first season reintroduced some of the classic POIs and bundles that were originally released in the battle royale game’s early years. Based on leaks, Fortnite OG Chapter 2 would have a similar approach, potentially evoking fans’ nostalgia by adding Apollo Island, Dirty Docks, or Weeping Woods POIs to the map. It could also feature new fishing rods and weapons because those were the hallmarks of the second chapter back in 2019. Interestingly, the rumored Fortnite OG Chapter 2 release date is close to last year’s Chapter 4: Season OG.
Fortnite OG Chapter 2 Release Date According To Leaks
While fans await an official confirmation, the Fortnite OG Chapter 2 release date is rumored to be November 2, 2024. In a latest post, HYPEX mentioned that the OG content is being tested for a launch at the beginning of November. It must be noted that the account has been a reliable source for all things Fortnite over the past few years.
The first OG Chapter spanned a month, ending on December 2 with the Big Bang live event. According to some old Fortnite leaks, OG Chapter 2 is also going to last a month. It will allegedly kick off after the ending of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 on November 2. Most notably, after the end of the ‘original’ season, Chapter 6 is rumored to roll out and introduce a brand new map.
Several other Fortnite leakers on X, including @ShiinaBR and @FNBRWatch, mentioned that OG Chapter 2 would be released in November. Even the leaked Roadmap shows that EPIC Games hasn’t missed any of the deadlines as of yet. That said, a Snoop Dogg collaboration is expected to occur in the next OG season.
It is only a matter of time until the Fortnite leakers reveal the content to be introduced in the OG Chapter 2. One can expect classic POIs to appear on the map again. Most importantly, similar to the previous OG season, it could disclose the roadmap for 2025.
