Forza Motorsport 8, simply known as Forza Motorsport, finally has a release date. It will mark an end to a long wait for racing gamers, who were left disappointed by the discontinuation of Forza Motorsport 7 on September 15, 2021. Motorsport 8 will succeed FM7 after a gap of six years.
According to an official announcement made during the Xbox Games Showcase, Forza Motorsport 8 will be released on October 10, 2023. It will also be available on GamePass and Steam. The thirteenth main installment of the Forza series will be competing against Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and rival racing game, OVERPASS 2.
While PlayStation console players have to wait until the middle of October to get their hands on OVERPASS, Xbox players can acquire Forza Motorsport in the first week of October itself. Those who purchase the Premium Edition of the game or the Premium Add-on Bundle can throw caution to the asphalt on October 5.
Pre-ordering Forza Motorsport Premium Add-Ons Bundle costs US $39.99. Obviously, since it is an add-on, players will need to purchase the game separately. The Premium Edition of Forza Motorsport costs $99.99. Both premiums have the same Early Access bonuses, which have been described below.
Forza Motorsport Premium Add-Ons Bundle content
Apart from the 5-day early access, the Premium Add-Ons Bundle for Forza Motorsport 8 contains the Race Day Car Pack, which gives players 8 new Forza race cars. Players will also get 30 cars delivered to their game weekly, one per week, due to access to the Car Pass content.
VIP Membership will provide players with five cars, a 2x credit boost, VIP Driver Gear with 5 different colors, the VIP Player Card, VIP Crown Flair, VIP-exclusive Rivals events, and more. Lastly, the Welcome Pack will unlock five cars and give $500,000 bonus credits to set up your Forza Motorsport career mode.

How to play Forza Motorsport 8?
Controls for Forza Motorsport 8 can be customized as per a player’s wish. If played in default settings, you will have to play with the following Xbox controller layout.
- Accelerate = RT
- Brake = LT.
- Steer Left = Left Stick (Left)
- Steer Right = Left Stick (Right)
- Handbrake = B
- Shift Up = A
- Shift Down = X
- Respawn = Y
After purchasing the game, players will need to complete 3 tutorial race tracks that take place in Maple Valley, Kyalami, and Grand Oak. There might not be much aggressive car-crashing action due to the broad raceways. The highlight will be the aesthetics of driving: the sound of the car zooming at a speed of 160 km/h while Cherry Blossom trees dance due to the wind and scatter flowers all over the road. Truly, the amount of detailing in the game is fascinating.
With over 800 customizations and upgrades available, Forza Motorsport is going to be one heck of a competitive racing game.
