FF MAX and Free Fire OB47 update is confirmed to arrive in the first week of December 2024 with loads of new content. Garena has announced the return of Bermuda’s Winterlands variant. At the same time a brand-new character is debuting in OB47, with many other gameplay updates. Free Fire OB47 Update To Bring Back Winterlands Alongside A New Character & Other Features
Winterlands Return To Bermuda (December 16)
The snow-clad Bermuda, aka Winterlands, is returning with the OB47 version updated in December. The winter-themed Bermuda variant will feature multiple POIs of the Free Fire and FF MAX map covered with snow and decorations. Players will get to see the Festive Clock Tower, while Garena is also introducing the ‘Frosty Track,’ which will connect key locations across the Winterlands.
Character Updates & A New Addition
A new character named Koda is debuting with the Free Fire MAX and FF OB47 update. He will have an active ability, which will provide a movement speed buff and enemy-detection skills. Besides Koda, the following characters will receive updates with the next FF and FF MAX version:

Apart from the character balance adjustments, the Awakening System is getting reworked with the Free Fire OB47 update. After the rework, all skills of non-awakened characters will be replaced by their ‘awakened’ versions.
Weapon Updates & A New Shotgun
With the OB47 update, the M590 shotgun is making its way to Free Fire and FF MAX. It will be a single-shot and high-damaging gun, which will also have a feature like ‘Area Explosion.’ In addition to that, FF and Free Fire MAX are also receiving the Finishing Move update, allowing players to execute a special elimination move with fists or pans.

Apart from the in-game adjustments, three new attachments – Fast Mag, Light Foregrip, and Power Stock – are also arriving with the new ‘winter’ update.
BR & CS Updates
The following BR & CS updates are coming with the next Free Fire update (December 4, 2024):
- BR Vending Machines are getting reworked
- CS Mushroom Purchase has been optimized (Purchase option disabled when EP is full)
- The addition of Frosty Track in BR
- Players will be able to activate the Cyber mushrooms with fists and melee weapons.
In addition to all of the above content, players will also get to see the Naruto Shippuden crossover in January 2025 across FF and Free Fire MAX.
