The partnership between G2 Esports and Blacklist International
Recently, a partnership between European powerhouse G2 Esports and Southeast Asian giants Blacklist International came forward on the 15th of February. Blacklist International announced this new partnership on its Twitter page. With G2 Esports on board, the collaboration between the two-organisation led to a formation of a unique team known as G2 Blacklist. The new Philippines-based squad will be seen in the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift League Asia. As you all know, Blacklist International has its thriving and dominant rosters across mobile esports titles, the most prominent being the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team. With G2 Esports, Blacklist International seeks to be a significant force in the League of Legends: Wild Rift esports scenario.

About the announcement
G2 Esports, on their website, stated that the NA region was just the beginning as they are swiftly heading for another region in 2023. They are excited to enter the Southeast Asian market with a Blacklist International partnership. G2 Blacklist will operate from Manila, Philippines and will seek to position itself at the top for the world’s finest esports athletes as the official esports division. Through the social media post, Blacklist International stated that together they are bringing the best of east and west with a similar mindset. G2 Esports perfectly fits this position as they also share a mentality of winning, competitiveness and entertainment.
G2 Blacklist Roster
An 8-player/coach roster was revealed for the G2 Blacklist Wild Rift team. It consists of the best of the lot, including –

- Dragon – Richard Lara aka Demon

CEOs and their views on the partnership
Tier One Entertainment, the agency behind Blacklist International’s management, released a press release revealing the partnership details. Tryke Gutierrez, CEO of Tier One Entertainment, said that G2 Blacklist is a “1+2=4” type of partnership, and this is an extraordinary moment to be in Wild Rift esports. With G2 Esports, they are bringing the Blacklist International brand to global audiences with League of Legends Wild Rift.
CEO of G2 Esports, Alban Dechelotte, said this is the best combination as these two organisations are two major winners and hold big ambitions. He praised Blacklist International for being a successful mobile esports team in Asia. It was an easy decision for this partnership with Blacklist International, as they are already renowned for their successful Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile teams.
Conclusion
Collaboration with renowned Filipino street artist Juanito Maiquez aka Quiccs, for a custom and unique art piece will boost the partnership further. Tier One Entertainment and G2 plan to debut The Bootcamp, a brand-new series from Tier One Studios that will follow the Wild Rift team’s journey. On Friday, February 17, 2023, G2 Blacklist will make its competitive debut in the Wild Rift League Asia’s Phase 2 Qualifiers.
