Recently, Krafton confirmed the relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, aka BGMI, through the first post of the game’s official social media account in over 10 months. Following the announcement, the game’s Google Play Store page became accessible to almost everyone via the link on the game’s official website, but the game is still unplayable. The BGMI servers are currently down for the public, but many speculate that the game might arrive on the Google Play Store before May 31.
Amidst all the speculations, players must avoid unconfirmed news and refrain from downloading the game from any dubious third-party source or website. Krafton is busy with close beta testing, so users should wait a few more days for the game’s relaunch on Google Play Store.
BGMI is downloadable from the Google Play Store for the majority, but servers are offline

BGMI is now downloadable (Download size:735 MB) for many users via Google Play Store after they use the link on the game’s official website to access the in-store page. However, even if players can download and install the game from the Google Play Store, it is not the unbanned version. Moreover, players cannot log into the game, as servers are shut for an unspecified period.

Once players launch the newly-installed BGMI app, they will receive a pop-up message (shown in the picture above). Krafton has disabled the auto-login from the backend. Additionally, even if players try to sign in manually using any account, be it Guest, Facebook, Google Play, or Apple ID, they cannot enter the game.
Therefore, users are suggested not to install the BGMI from Google Play Store yet and wait for Krafton to relaunch the game officially with the unbanned version.
What to expect from BGMI’s Google Play Store release?

As Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to be re-released in Google Play Store soon, players can expect Krafton to roll out most features from PUBG Mobile’s current 2.6 version. However, BGMI will reportedly receive changes to resolve issues like in-game blood & gore, addictiveness (game time limitation), user harm, and more.
However, Krafton has promised that players will not lose access to their in-game progress and data. Readers must also note that Battlegrounds Mobile India is making a return temporarily, i.e., on a three-month trial period, during which the Government of India’s MeitY will keep a close watch on the game’s activity regarding the resolution of prevalent issues, be it in-game or related to data security and server location
Note: GosuGamers India will update this article once Krafton announces the official release date and time for BGMI.
