2023 has been a great year for Indian mobile gaming fans, as May marked the return of BGMI, followed by a continuation of its esports scene. Now, Garena has confirmed the relaunch of Free Fire under a new title, “Free Fire India,” exclusively for the region. The game’s return in India will further reignite the competitive scenario that has been at a halt for a long time.
On Thursday, 31 August 2023, Garena dropped the announcement trailer revealing the release date for Free Fire India on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The trailer also included four legendary sportspersons, Sunil Chhetri, Leander Paes, Rahul Chaudhari, and Saina Nehwal, as brand ambassadors for the Indian Free Fire variant.
Garena Free Fire India Release Date & Time
Garena Free Fire’s Indian version was supposed to be released on 5 September 2023 on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, but the release got delayed by a few more weeks. Much like the release date, developers haven’t revealed the release time for the game.
Still, readers can expect Free Fire’s Indian variant to go live in the Play Store and App Store anywhere between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm IST on the release day (the time frame usually preferred by Garena to release new patch updates).

One must also note that pre-registrations for Garena Free Fire India are live on Google Play Store. Fans can pre-register for the game and let the Play Store automatically install it upon the official release.
