HoYoverse has a tendency to reveal the next Genshin Impact playable characters via drip marketing. Now that the 4.7 update is on the horizon, the developers have revealed what to expect from the 4.8 update. Drip marketing for Genshin Impact 4.8 has confirmed the rumors of Emilie appearing in the banners.
Emilie belongs to the Fontaine region. She is suspected to be the last batch of Fontaine-based characters before the eventual release of the Natlan region.
Genshin Impact 4.8 Emilie: Leaked Kit & More Details
A day after revealing the events planned for Version 4.7 “An Everlasting Dream Intertwined,” Genshin Impact’s X account dropped the first picture of Emilie. The renowned perfume designer can be seen sporting a ribboned green hat, fashionable black glasses, and an elegant black-and-green outfit.
Genshin Impact 4.8 Emilie drip marketing confirmed that she will deal Dendro damage with her abilities and she possesses the Pomum de Ambra constellation. Whether Emilie can dethrone Arlecchino in Genshin Impact as the best Dendro character is unknown because there is no official information about her kit.
According to Genshin Impact 4.8 leaks, Emilie will be a 5-Star Polearm user. The leak also mentions the weapon passive for the character’s signature Polearm, which is speculated to be released alongside the character’s banner. It provides an Attack boost and stacks buffs on Emilie that increase her damage.
Interestingly, the Genshin Impact leaker mentioned that Emilie will gain a damage boost buff upon triggering the Burning elemental reaction. Burning is inflicted when a Dendro-affected target is blasted with a Pyro attack.
When Will Emilie Arrive In Genshin Impact 4.8?
According to rumors and speculations, Emilie will arrive in the first half of Genshin Impact 4.8. This means players can pull the character when the 4.8 update rolls live in the middle of July. The characters that will accompany her in the banner are yet to be revealed.
Genshin Impact’s recently released characters like Arle and Clorinde have the Bond of Life (BoL) mechanic. As such, Emilie’s skillset may include the same debuff. BoL prevents a character from regenerating HP but it could be manipulated to gain buffs as seen in Arle’s case.
