Emilie is the only character who has been revealed for 4.8 via HoYoverse’s drip marketing. She appeared in the Roses and Muskets event in Genshin Impact Version 4.3, pointing out the Rainbow Rose left on a crime scene. By profession, she is a perfume designer hailing from the Fontaine region.
Thanks to some reliable leakers, there is more information about the upcoming characters. Both Dim and HXG mentioned on Reddit that Navia and Nilou will appear in the banners following the Genshin 4.8 release date. Phase 2 will feature the Emilie and Yelan.
The banner re-runs of Navia, Nilou, and Yelan are somewhat disheartening for those who expected to pull new characters. However, it further cements the theory that Emilie will be the last Fontaine-based character after which HoYoverse will focus its resources and attention on the Natlan region which is rumored to debut in Genshin Impact 5.0 update.
Genshin Impact 4.8 Livestream Date
The official release date for the Genshin Impact 4.8 Special Program has been disclosed by HoYoverse. According to the post on X, the 4.8 Summertide Scales and Tales livestream will premiere on the Genshin Impact Twitch and YouTube channels in July 5, 2024. As usual, the developers have promised to drop three gift codes during the livestream.
The reveal of the livestream date has almost confirmed that Genshin Impact 4.8 release date is July 17. Usually, there is a gap of 10 days between the Special Program and an upcoming version update.
