Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Device Requirements

The performance requirements for Genshin Impact are about to shoot up as the game gradually moves towards the 5.0 version update. According to the latest news, the developers will be upgrading the overall visuals and functions of the popular role-playing game for all devices. The release date for Version 5 wasn’t disclosed but the tentative timeline is August 2024.

Compared to its beginning years, the game by HoYoverse has become more demanding in terms of performance and storage space. Genshin Impact 4.5 storage requirements for PC and console are above 100 GB, triple the amount it needed during its initial years. New characters, changes in visual designs, new events and modes, and additions to the map have all contributed to Genshin’s success and rapidly increasing game requirements.

Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Device Requirements & Performance Adjustments Revealed

Previously, following the 4.1 update, the recommended processor for Android devices was Snapdragon 855, Kirin 820, and above. The 5.0 update will increase the processor requirements to a Snapdragon 865 and Kirin 9000SL. The developers mentioned that devices with lower processors will have a decrease in the range of special effects and resolution of some images.

For iOS users, performance adjustments will be made for models with an A12 processor or lower. Below is a table of the current requirements and upcoming Genshin Impact 5.0 update device requirements:-

While the game will be regularly optimized for all devices, PlayStation 4 users will experience a reduction in visual performance following the 5.0 update. The same can be said for low-end PCs even though HoYoverse hasn’t mentioned how the future update will affect computer requirements.
