HoYoverse will optimize the Spiral Abyss experience of Genshin Impact with a most useful feature. During a recent Developers Discussion, it was announced that a ‘skip’ function would be added to the Genshin Impact 5.1 Spiral Abyss challenge. Travelers will be allowed to skip some of the floors if they cleared a previous phase to a certain extent. Multiple quality-of-life improvements are also slated for the upcoming update, which is expected to be dropped on October 9.
Skip Feature In Genshin Impact 5.1 Spiral Abyss Explained
An endgame content, the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact can be accessed from a wormhole located at the edge of Cape Oath. Travelers must possess an Adventure Rank 20 or above to access the domain which consists of a series of challenges. A week ago, a Genshin Impact 5.1 leak mentioned that the Spiral Abyss will feature a new type of enemy that emphasizes using Nightsoul-attribute characters.
Apart from new enemies, Genshin Impact 5.1 Spiral Abyss will include a skip function that rewards players who cleared previous phases. For instance, if a player cleared Floor 12 with full stars in the previous phase, they can start from Floor 11 following the next rotation. The rewards for Floor 9 and 10 could be gained instantly without the need to challenge them. Similarly, those who clear Floor 11 with full stars can begin from Floor 10 after the rotation.
Access to the new Genshin Impact skip feature will be given on October 16, 2024. In another effort to optimize the player experience, HoYoverse will allow players to open multiple Artifact Chests. The arduous process that involved opening each chest individually would be eliminated.
Character building is also going to be more streamlined in the next update. An Enhancement Progression Calculator will be added to the Crafting Bench, a one-stop interface for viewing and crafting all character development materials. The new feature automatically displays the Character Ascension, Weapon Ascension, and Talent Level-Up materials for a selected character, enabling players to craft them within a single window on the screen.
The Enhancement Progression Calculator is a feature that will also affect the Genshin Impact 5.1 Spiral Abyss challengers. They can easily upgrade their team, making them more stronger for the next Floors.
HoYoverse also announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.1 will bring more time-limited exploration rewards that will carry forward to the next updates. If any new area is added to the map, more time-sensitive rewards will be available in different quests.
