Highlights:
* Genshin Impact 5.3 banner leaks: The Character Event Wishes of Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan could remain for six weeks, thanks to potential changes in the banner system.
* Hailing from Liyue, Lan Yan is an Anemo user who is rumored to be the only new 4-star for Version 5.3.
November 25 was an exciting day for fans as HoYoverse’s drip marketing revealed each new character for Genshin Impact Version 5.3. Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan are about to be added to the playable character roster. While Mavuika and Citlali are rumored to be of 5-star rarity, Lan Yan could be the only new 4-star. Characters in the event banners are featured for three weeks. However, the latest Genshin Impact leak mentions that the banner phases will undergo a significant change following the next patch.
Genshin Impact Leak Claims Event Wishes Will Last For The Entirety Of A Version
According to a post shared by user changhanzzz in the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, HoYoverse is preparing a few changes for the banners for Version 5.3 and beyond. The new characters that appear in Genshin Impact will remain in the event banners for the entirety of the version as per the leak. This means that the event banners beginning in the first phase will not conclude in 21 days, but rather last throughout the patch, meaning 42 days.
Following the first half of a version’s banner, the “rerun character banner will start.” The leak is tagged as ‘suspicious’ on Reddit but if it proves to be true, it would be a massive player-friendly change. Players will get more time to complete the Natlan quests, side missions, and Genshin Impact 5.3 events, and collect Primogems to purchase summons for the Character Event Wishes.
The aforementioned post became more understandable following the recent Genshin Impact 5.3 banner leaks by HomDGCat. Not only did it mention the banner phases for the new characters but also the re-run banners.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Banner Leaks: Phase 1 & Phase 2 Revealed
Genshin Impact 5.3 Phase 1 will feature Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan, according to the leak. The three characters will appear in the Event Wishes following the update and could be available for the entirety of Version 5.3. Mavuika wields the Pyro element and is suspected to be a Claymore user. Citlali is a Cryo character that might use Catalyst as a weapon, similar to Lan Yan, who was revealed to be an Anemo user by the Genshin Impact drip marketing.
Genshin Impact 5.3 Phase 2 will feature the re-run banners of Arlechinno and Clorinde. Codenamed The Knave, Arle is a Pyro-Polearm character who has been most valuable in Genshin Impact due to its on-field DPS. Meanwhile, Clorinde is an Electro-Sword character that first appeared in the Version 4.7 banners.
The Genshin Impact 5.3 banner leaks must be taken with a grain of salt until the official Character Event Wish phases are revealed by the developers. Given that the next patch is expected to roll out on January 1, 2025, the information about the banners could be disclosed two weeks prior to the update.
