Genshin Impact is currently running on its version 5.2, with the next update to arrive in January 2025. However, months ahead of its in-game release, leaks around Genshin Impact 5.5 have already started making their way to social media. In one of the recent Genshin Impact 5.5 leaks, a new NPC has been revealed by the dataminer HomDGCat. The new Genshin Impact NPC is named as ‘Big Dragon’ and many are speculating it to be a part of Natlan’s lore.
Genshin Impact 5.5 Leaks: The Leaked ‘Big Dragon’ NPC Might Be Related To Xiuhcoatl And Great Volcano of Tollan
Apart from the name Big Dragon, nothing much has been revealed about the upcoming non-playable character. There are some speculations around the character’s connection to the Great Volcano of Tollan. The said volcano is located in Natlan’s southwest part and is rumored to be unlocked in March 2025 with version 5.5’s release. Thus, Big Dragon’s arrival with the Great Volcano of Tollan makes sense.
Fans are also forming theories around Big Dragon being related to Xiuhcoatl. For the uninitiated, Xiuhcoatl is a pyro dragon, also known as Flamelord. He is also one of the Seven Sovereigns, who once ruled over Natlan. Xiuhcoatl is also expected to be one of the weekly bosses to arrive in Genshin Impact 5.3. However, nothing has been confirmed around Big Dragon’s Xiuhcoatl connection.
Some are also speculating the 5.5 NPC to be the resurrected Durin, who was expected to be a part of potentially scrapped Dragonspine’s flagship event. However, despite all rumors and theories, players will have to wait a little longer for HoYoverse to confirm all Genshin Impact 5.5 leaks.
For the uninitiated, Genshin Impact 5.3 will arrive in January 2024, with v5.4 scheduled to release in February. The version 5.5 will launch in March 2024 and HoYovers will reveal its featured content via the livestream program weeks before the roll-out.
