* Genshin Impact Xbox release date was announced during the Opening Night of Gamescom 2024.
* A pre-order bundle is available on the Xbox Store for players who want a headstart in the gacha RPG.
Genshin Impact is arriving on Xbox Series X and Series S, three years after the game’s release on PlayStation 5. The news comes a week before miHoYo releases the highly-anticipated 5.0 update in the gacha action RPG title. By the time it is launched on Xbox, Genshin Impact might be well into Version 5.2 and would have released all the Natlan characters mentioned by the leakers.
MiHoYo’s creations have been absent on Xbox despite the growing popularity of three action RPGs. Thankfully, the arrival of Genshin Impact on the Microsoft console will bridge both parties. Genshin’s release on Xbox could be followed by Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.
Official Genshin Impact Xbox Release Date Revealed Followed By Pre-Order Bundle
During the Gamescom Opening Night Live, the Genshin Impact Xbox release date was revealed to be November 20, 2024. The launch date was leaked by a new Xbox Store listing before the announcement although it mentioned November 17. Xbox launched a trailer to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Genshin Impact on the store.
Interestingly, the trailer mentioning the Genshin Impact Xbox release date features Natlan and the upcoming characters. Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina greet the players before they unleash their skills to fight monsters. As one can expect, the visuals and character transitions are impressive.
Genshin Impact has been a free-to-play title on all platforms since its global release in 2020. Microtransactions assist players in obtaining more resources or items that can be used to pull characters from the gacha. However, in an uncharacteristic move, miHoYo has decided to launch a pre-order bundle on the Microsoft Xbox Store.
The Genshin Impact Xbox Pre-Order Bundle does not provide early access, instead giving resources such as Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and in-game currency called Mora. Available for a limited time, it is priced at $9.99 and includes the following contents:-
- 15 Hero’s Wit (Advanced Character EXP Material)
- 20 Mystic Enhancement Ore (Advanced Weapon Enhancement Material)
- 2 Acquaint Fate (Wishing Item/gacha)
- 15 Hero’s Wit (Character EXP Material)
- 20 Mystic Enhancement Ore (Weapon Enhancement Material)
- 10 Rainbow Macarons (Genshin Impact Food Item)
- 15,000 Mora (Currency)
The pre-order bundle rewards will be sent to the in-game mailbox following Genshin Impact’s launch. Now that the Genshin Impact Xbox release date is set, miHoYo can direct its efforts and resources on releasing more games on the console or work on a Nintendo Switch version. The latter is rumored to be in development for years but there has been no official confirmation.
Xbox players will sooner be able to explore the Genshin Impact Natlan region and experience the 3D combat powered by the Unity Engine.
