Gokurakugai Chapter 23 Recap
The chapter begins with Tao entering a room on the mansion’s second floor and finding an old picture of a younger Nei and another woman. Suddenly, she is attacked by a Maga, but shoots it with her gun. At the first floor, many more low-level Maga beasts surround Alma and Nei. The girl wants to join the fight, but Alma tells her to go to the second floor since she knows the house better. Upstairs, Tao finishes off the many Magas surrounding her but causes damage to the house. Nei yells at her to stop because even though she doesn’t live here, this house is still hers.

As Nei runs around the second floor, Alma expertly dodges his enemies’ attacks and kills most of them. Tao appears by his side to take down the rest of the Maga. Alma tells her that a burglar was suddenly crushed, and since then everything has gone haywire. He also tells her that Nei went to look for her, but Tao hasn’t seen her. Upstairs, Nei opens a door after much deliberation and sees an imposing man. We learn that this man, likely the Crushing Death Maga, killed Nei’s parents 10 years ago. As he goads her, Nei takes out her sword and gets ready to attack.
Gokurakugai Chapter 24 Predictions
Nei will launch an attack on the Crushing Death Maga in the upcoming manga issue. Since the man can attack someone remotely, it might be really dangerous for her. Tao and Alma, both of whom are busy fighting the smaller Magas downstairs, might need to intervene and help her. We will likely find out the history behind Nei’s parents’ death and why this man killed them. Alma and Tao, who have learned a lot of information from Utsuro, might use it against the Maga and eventually kill him.
