Take-Two Interactive has narrowed the release window for the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) to Fall 2025. The timeline was disclosed by the company via a press release dated May 17, 2024, in which the company revealed its Quarterly earnings and plans for the future.
The report stated that Take-Two Interactive’s “expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.” They are positive that the GTA 6 sales will perform exceptionally in Fiscal Years 2025, 2026, and 2027. Another statement worth noting is that Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 were major contributors to the GAAP net revenue for 2024.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date Narrowed To The End Of 2025
As per the latest news, Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated for a release in autumn 2025. This means that GTA 6 will be launched in the period between September and December next year. There were suspicions of the game’s release being delayed till 2026 but Take-Two Interactive CEO and Chairman, Strauss Zelnick, is positive that Rockstar Games and his team will be able to deliver the product within the stated timeline.
Rockstar Games launched the trailer for GTA 6 during its 25th anniversary in December last year. The trailer registered three records in the Guinness Book of World Records, becoming the most-liked video and most-viewed on YouTube within 24 hours. Many fans noticed that the cinematic trailer incorporated a few notorious real-life events, which eventually caused the whole ‘Florida Joker’ controversy.
Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular role-playing game franchises. Given the viewership records GTA 6 set with its first trailer, the game is expected to perform well in the market once it hits the stores.
