Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI is set for a launch in 2025, as revealed through an early release of the game’s first trailer. Apart from the trailer, publishers have also confirmed the platforms where GTA 6 will launch initially, and sadly, for PC fans, Windows has not been included in the list.

Rockstar Games’ press release on Monday, December 4, 2023, named PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as the platforms where Grand Theft Auto VI will arrive. Now, the publishers haven’t confirmed the launch on Windows, but it is likely that the GTA V successor will eventually make its way to the PC.
GTA 6 Likely To Get A Later Launch Date For PC
As mentioned, the next Grand Theft Auto is arriving in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, due to the omission of Windows from the list of confirmed platforms, one might expect GTA 6 to follow the precedent set by previous titles. Interestingly, the Windows version of all games since Grand Theft Auto III has received a delayed release compared to the console variant.
The previous Grand Theft Auto, i.e., GTA V, had its initial launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013. It was followed by the game’s launch on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014. However, PC players had to wait till April 2015 to experience Grand Theft Auto V. Finally, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S received an ‘Expanded & Enhanced’ version in 2022.
Thus, it is highly likely that the next Grand Theft Auto will get a delayed release on PC in comparison to the launch of consoles in 2025. However, readers should wait for Rockstar Games to confirm the explicit details about the game’s exact release window. Meanwhile, fans can check out the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI, which was launched almost a day earlier than its original schedule.
