On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Rockstar Games made a surprise announcement confirming the next Grand Theft Auto, most likely to be titled GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI). The American video game publisher also confirmed that fans will witness the first trailer for the newest GTA in early December 2023.

Although there hasn’t been any confirmation on the release date of GTA 6’s official trailer by Rockstar Games, fans can expect more announcements in the coming weeks. At the same time, the first trailer will be more focused on the title reveal, alongside providing a glimpse of the world of the new chapter of Grand Theft Auto.
GTA 6 Trailer Launch To Mark 25th Anniversary Celebrations For Rockstar Games
As confirmed by the official announcement from Rockstar Games, the trailer launch for the next GTA marks the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the New York City-based video game company. Here’s what a message from Sam Houser, the co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, read:
“Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games. Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about — without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us.”
It continues,
“In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution.”
Houser concluded the message by confirming the release of the first trailer for the successor of GTA V:
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.”
For the unversed, the next installment of Rockstar Games’ iconic open-world game series has been in development for quite some time now, as GTA V came out in September 2013, more than ten years back. However, the launch of the first trailer might also bring confirmations around the worldwide release date for GTA 6, while one can also expect some real leaks.
