Why are the Hogwarts Legacy preorders getting cancelled?
Certain people who have pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy are tweeting that their preorders are getting cancelled. They are confused and are asking WB Games Support about the reason for this issue.
One person, in particular, commented on one of the recent tweets from Hogwarts Legacy’s official Twitter page. In the comment, he mentioned that his pre-order got cancelled suddenly, and he is asking why it happened.
To that query, WB Games Support first replied by saying that it is likely due to the buyer not updating the pre-order preferences, and WB Games Support asked the person to check their inbox of the e-mail linked with the PlayStation account.
Then, the person replied saying that he is on Xbox, and the next reply from WB Games Support clarified everything. The reason for the Hogwarts Legacy pre-order getting cancelled is the gaming platform that the person is using, in this case, the Xbox One. For those who are unaware, the game is not getting released on all the supported platforms at the same time.
WB Games Support mentioned that the cancellation, in this case, is due to the delay in the release of the Xbox One version. The Xbox One version is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series S/X. WB Games Support further added that the person must have received an email about this cancellation, and asked the person to request their inbox and spam folder.
So, the bottom line is that the main issue regarding these preorders getting cancelled revolves around the unusual release dates. If your pre-order for the game has been cancelled as well, then it is likely that it is due to a similar reason.
