Beta leaks have revealed that a pet system is in the works for the global Honkai Star Rail Version 2.5. The upcoming update, slated for September, will introduce a Luminary Wardance event that would allow Trailblazers to obtain their first pet. More information about the Honkai Star Rail pets was revealed by the leak from Sakura Haven, courtesy of ImNotNex, which is tagged ‘reliable’ on Reddit.
Honkai Star Rail 2.5 Leak: Tuskpir Pet Available In A Wardance Event
Sakura Haven, who leaked Feixiao’s kit from Honkai Star Rail 2.5 beta, shared information about a pet system that is slated to arrive in the next update. The leaker mentioned that the Tuskpir pet can be obtained from the Luminary Wardance event. For those unfamiliar with the upcoming arc, Wardance will be a competition featuring notable characters such as Yunli, March 7th (Hunt), and Feixiao.
Honkai Star Rail 2.5 leak disclosed that Tuskpir is the only pet currently available in the beta. More pets could be introduced in the global version. Tuskpir is a pink-skinned creature with cloud-like wings at his sides. Additionally, the pet has multiple animations when left idle as can be seen in the following clip.
Tuskip is described as a “peculiar creature that feeds on negative notions” which is why it is also known as Dreaming Noble, Eternal Peace, and Sacred Branch. The creature’s excrement is collected by the people of Xianzhou Luofu in Honkai Star Rail to make medicines that help cure insomnia and grief.
Sakura Haven also suggested the possibility of a game mechanic that allows Trailblazers to experience a ‘dream’ when holding a pet. In the dream, Trailblazers enter a combat training scenario. The system is yet to be introduced in the beta and there are only mentions about it.
HoYoverse’s plan to introduce Honkai Star Rail pets establishes the fact that the developer wants more interactions and systems to keep Trailblazers interested. Unlike the Natlan-based Saurians in Genshin Impact 5.0, the Star Rail pets will accompany players in their adventures.
