Tingyun is set to make a stellar comeback in Honkai Star Rail. According to leaks, the foxian is about to get a new 5-star variant that possesses a different element and skillset. In the story, she was believed to be dead after being possessed by the Lord Ravager Phantylia but that turned out to be an impostor. The real Tingyun has been found by Ruan Mei in the current Trailblaze Continuance mission. More information about the bizarre circumstances will be provided in Honkai Star Rail 2.6; which will debut Rappa.
New Tingyun Kit: Leaks Hint That The 5-Star Character Will Have Incredible Weakness Break Effect Potential
While the new character model of Tingyun hasn’t been revealed, Honkai Star Rail leakers have mentioned time and again that she will be a 5-star Fire Type character from the Path of Nihility. The community and leakers often call her ‘New Tingyun.’ That said, the foxian’s 4-star version features a Lightning Combat Type and hails from the Path of Harmony.
UBatcha, a credible Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai Star Rail leaker, recently revealed that the new Tingyun is in the testing servers. She is being equipped with the Solitary Healing Light Cone, Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge Relic Set, and Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern Ornament Set. Based on the information, Honkai Star Rail New Tingyun’s kit seems to be heavily focused on Break Effect and Super Break Effect.
Aside from increasing Speed, the 5-star Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern Set increases the wearer’s Break Effect when attacking an enemy with Fire Weakness. Solitary Healing also increases the Break Effect. Interestingly, it increases the DoT abilities of the wearer, which is a crucial hint about the New Tingyun kit.
Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge is useful for many characters, including March 7th (Hunt) and Boothill. In the New Tingyun kit, it increases the Break Effect and Super Break damage. Trailblazers can begin pre-farming the set pieces, given their usefulness.
Apart from a change in rarity, combat type, path, and skillset, previous leaks also mentioned that Tingyun will be getting a new appearance. Instead of black hair, she will have long white hair with a tinge of pink. Tingyun could be seen wearing a long black dress with a black clincher. Interestingly, the chest area of the dress will have a crossed collar style with the exposed part of the attire resembling that of Raiden
The most interesting alleged feature of the foxian is that she is going to have four tails. Currently, the 4-star Tingyun has a bushy brown tail whose length often draws comparisons from fans with other foxians.
When Will Honkai Star Rail New Tingyun Be Released?
The 5-star Fire Element version of Tingyun is rumored to be released in Version 2.7. Old Honkai Star Rail leaks claimed that Tingyun would be arriving in the second phase of the update. Recently, Iris Leaks, a notable leaker in the HSR community, disclosed the potential complete Honkai Star Rail 2.7 banners. They are one of the many leakers who claimed that New Tingyun would be a Fire Nihility character.
For those who may have noticed, Mr. Reca is currently an NPC in Honkai Star Rail. The famous film director appeared in the Penacony arc, casting the Trailblazer and the Firefly character in one of his films. It seems that, apart from Sunday, another NPC will be made a playable character in HSR 2.7. Leaker @hxg_diluc mentioned that the upcoming 4-star character will use Clapperboard as a weapon.
