A section of Overwatch 2 fans are a bit disappointed with the recent announcement from the developers regarding the scrapping PvE campaign mode. However, players can use some in-game rewards to move on, as watching Overwatch 2 on Twitch ensures some goodies for everyone. As part of a new campaign for OW2 on Twitch, players must watch the streams of the game for a certain amount of time to attain the Hammond Tool Box spray and Toolbox Souvenir before May 23, 2023, 6:00 am (UTC).
The drops are available for everyone with accounts on Twitch and Battle.net accounts. Once users have ensured that both accounts are linked, they can readily claim the Overwatch 2 Twitch drops.
Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops: How to get rewards by watching the streams
As mentioned above, two rewards are available for Overwatch 2 fans as a part of Twitch’s drop campaign. The Hammond Tool Box spray is obtainable after players have watched two hours of any OW2 content on the live-streaming platform. At the same time, the Toolbox Souvenir will be available via the drop after three more hours of watch time.
Considering all Overwatch 2 users already have a Battle.net account, it is necessary to sign up on Twitch too, which they can do by following the steps given below:
- Step 1: Open Twitch on any web browser using the link here.
- Step 2: Press the “Sign Up” button in the top-right corner of the screen, where one will need to fill up their particulars like choosing a username and password and providing an email address and DOB.
- Step 3: Users will get automatically logged in after pressing the “Sign Up” button and verifying their email address.
Now that users have an account on Twitch, they can follow the Twitch.tv/drops/campaigns and look at the ongoing drop campaigns. They can follow the following steps to link Battle.net with Twitch:
- Step 1: Explore through the ongoing drop campaigns of Twitch and click on Overwatch 2.
- Step 2: Look at the rewards and press the “Connect” button to link the Battle.net account with Twitch.
- Step 3: On Battle.net, press the “Connect” button given adjacent to Twitch, and you will need to authorize the same almost immediately.
Now that players have connected their Twitch and Battle.net accounts, they can easily claim all the rewards in the game without much fuss. Players should start watching the Overwatch 2 content from an eligible channel (given on the campaign’s menu via the “participating live channel” hyperlink).
Once players have watched enough content from the participating channels, they can claim their earned prizes in the “Inventory” menu given here.
Note: If players have already claimed the rewards but have not linked their Twitch with Battle.net account, they must ensure to do the same within seven days; otherwise, the rewards will expire.
