The block-based survival game has 15 different fishes that can be hooked with a fishing rod. Fishing requires a Fishing Rod and finding fishing spots located in different waterbodies all around the Map. Players can also ease this process by crafting Bait Buckets. Captured fish can be used in the Food Processor Station to craft Fish Fillets, an excellent food source that restores a character’s HP.
How To Fish In LEGO Fortnite? Using A Fishing Rod
To get started with fishing in LEGO Fortnite, players will need to craft a Fishing Rod. There are four different types of rods: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic. Speaking of how to fish in LEGO Fortnite, once players have a fishing rod, they can either go to Shores or any biome that has waterbodies. Search for small interactable whirlpools in the water with a shoal of fish swimming beneath it (fishing spots). Press the Trap button on your device (R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox, or T on PC) to cast the fishing rod in the fishing spot.
When the fish has been trapped in your hook, i.e., when the fishing rod starts to waver, reel the fish by using the key as prompted. Collected fish are added to your inventory. If you don’t have enough space in your backpack, the fish is dropped on the ground rather than left in the water.
Finding fishing spots can be hectic. Players might not always find one nearby or could run into different enemies while trying to search for them. This is where Bait Buckets are so important.
Bait Buckets Can Be Used To Make Your Own Fishing Spots
The recipes for Bait Buckets can be obtained after players create Fish Fillets and have built the Food Processor and the Juicer buildings. Moreover, a Common Bait Bucket is always required to craft high-tier Bait Buckets. The higher the rarity of the Bait Bucket, the better the rarity of the fish that can be captured.
After being equipped from the inventory, a Bait Bucket can be tossed into the water to make a portion of the water a fishing spot. Players can then use their fishing rods to catch fish. Multiple Bait Buckets can be tossed into the water, provided that they don’t overlap with other fishing spots.

An Epic Fishing Rod and Epic Bait Bucket have the maximum chances of providing you with Legendary fish with every successful catch.
