Hunter X Hunter Chapter 406 Recap
The Phantom Troupe keeps following Tajao, who takes them to the hull of the Black Where. He tells them to keep climbing up the stairs to reach the top of Tier 2. The waste of the entire population of the Black Whale clears through here, and the waste management is handled by Cha-R and Xi-Yu. Nobunaga deduces that Heil-Ly might be posing as sub-contractors and kill many people. They might even be able to lure people with the promise of a job as a cleaner and murder them. With this, Nobunaga says he has to turn around and take his leave.
Before leaving, he gives some tips to Feitan and Phinks, who are heading to the Heil-Ly hideout. At Halkenburg’s funeral, Hinrigh learns about Lynch’s death. He and Zakuro visit her body and learn that whoever killed her was a pro. Zakuro thinks Hisoka might have killed her, but Hinrigh says that Hisoka would’ve killed both Lynch and Zakuro if he wanted. They deduced that someone who was posing as Hisoka had killed Lynch after she found out the truth about their identity using her Nen. Fans already know that it was Bonolenov who did it since it was revealed in chapter 405.
Zakuro and Hinrigh vow to avenge the death of Lynch, even if the killer is from the Phantom Troupe. At the funeral, Chrollo uses Love Dial 6700 ability to call someone, but the Nen couldn’t detect the user. He thinks about how he wants to steal the three Treasures of Kakin – the Seed Urn, the Lotus Anchorite, and the Sword of Good Omens. Once he has gathered them, the items can grant him the power to kill Hisoka for good. He moves to a different location to use Love Dial 6700 again, and this time the answering machine says that the Nen user he is looking for is upstairs.

We might learn the person whom Chrollo has been trying to contact with Love Dial 6700. Phins and Feitan will likely reach Tier 2 and try getting into the Heil-Ly hideout. On the other hand, Morena, Dogman, and the other Heil-Ly members who are looking for a certain Nen user at Halkenburg’s funeral will make their move. More importantly, fans are eager to know why Halkenburg faked his own death and transferred his consciousness to Balsemilco’s body.
