The slot issue keeps Hydra Esports out of scrims as the team is not able to play together
Hrishav Kumar aka Hrishav, a popular content creator of Hydra Esports recently clarified his team’s absence from the Tier 1 scrims. Upthrust Esports, the organiser of the scrim had nothing to do with it as it has no involvement in the selection process of the teams. Hrishav stated that because of the slot issues, the team was unable to compete together and because of this, they played in the evening scrims. According to Hrishav, there is an organisation formed by the participating teams in the scrims who are solely deciding on which teams will get the slot and are voting accordingly among themselves. Fans will soon see Hydra Esports taking part in the Tier 1 Scrims once the slot issue is over.
Exclusion of Hydra Esports
According to Upthrust Esports, Hydra Esports’ absence was nothing to do with them. Karthik, the owner of Upthrust Esports stated that Upthrust is just acting as the organiser. They organise tournaments and host the scrims. Upthrust Esports has nothing to do with which team will play and which team will not.
There is a voting process which is done by the participating teams in the scrims. The teams have formed an organisation among themselves and with this, the exclusion of Hydra Esports was made. Once the organisation decides to let the team play in the Tier 1 Scrims, then only the teams get a chance to compete.
Hrishav’s view on the slot issue
Hrishav states that the teams decided they will pay an entry fee to participate in the scrims Sometimes the prize pool is distributed among them only. Even with Hydra Esports’ popularity from its past official and unofficial tournament performances, slots were not provided to them.
Hydra reached the finals while being a part of the last official tournament. Hydra Esports remained in the top 6 positions in the last LAN event. Hrishav still cannot believe why they were not given the slots. He also stated that there were many teams who all were playing in Tier 1 scrims even though not being a part of any organisation. The players are unable to play as a whole due to this and have been playing separately. In the evening scrims, they are together and according to Hrishav, Hydra Players are making names for themselves.
In Conclusion
Though it does not matter which scrims players are playing, practice is what matters the most. Raising a voice against the decision of the participating teams and arguing against it is all useless. Soon Hydra Esports will be playing together in the Tier 1 scrims.
