A Bollywood-Inspired Cozy Mystery-Adventure: What Is Detective Dotson About?
Detective Dotson is a cozy adventure game that draws inspiration from Bollywood and Indian culture and presents the players with story-driven gameplay. One can explore the streets of the virtual world that boasts the aesthetic appeal of real Indian cities. The game lets players assume the character of a titular detective who aspires to be a Bollywood star. At the same time, other characters and disguises are also available.
In the game, players can build cases, collect clues, solve mysteries, parkour through the streets, and do much more. The pixelated graphic style further makes the overall experience more nostalgic. In addition to the single-player gameplay, Masala Games recently introduced the co-op feature, allowing players to join their friends in duos and solve cases.
The co-op mode will allow players to equip characters with different abilities and multiple disguises (like single-player), experience the game in split-screen, and share special moments. Interestingly, the game is a three-episode animated series featuring many characters. Players can wishlist the game on Steam, while devs aim for a Q4 launch on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
