To say that fans have been waiting for the JJK manga’s latest chapter leaks would be an understatement. After a delay, the spoilers were released on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, August 16, just two days before the official release of chapter 266. The chapter blew the minds of readers who had been waiting to see what would happen in the final battle between Yuji and Sukuna.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 Spoilers Start With Yuji Listening To Megumi
The spoilers reveal that Yuji starts to listen to Megumi’s soul. Megumi says that he wanted to make a better world where his sister Tsumiki could live a happy life. He wanted to live a simple life eating food, doing laundry, and spending time with people that he loves, like Itadori. But then he says that it’s okay now as he is imprisoned inside his body by Sukuna. Itadori says that he now realizes why some people accept unavoidable realities, much like his grandfather, who chose to die when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Itadori says that he understands why Fushiguro is so depressed and can’t bring himself to tell the boy to live.
After their conversation, the narration gets back to reality and fans see Sukuna use the Hollow Wicker Basket technique to fight against Yuji’s Domain. Sukuna says that he cannot use Gojo’s technique of resetting his burnt-out Cursed Technique with Reverse Cursed Technique since his brain is still too fragile from Gojo’s attack. The narrator explains that usually Hollow Wicker Basket and Simple Domain are both weaker than an actual Domain. But since The King of Curses has four hands, he can maintain the hand signs necessary for these techniques and still fight Yuji without being overwhelmed by his opponent’s Domain.
Yuji And Sukuna Exchange Blows
Both Yuji and Sukuna start to battle once again and Sukuna says that he got extremely angry when Yuji looked down at him with pity. He vows to make every other human atone for what Yuji has done. Just then, Yuji sees a vision of child Megumi asking Yuji the question he had asked Gojo before. When Fushiguro asks what kind of face he is making, Itadori answers that without him, it would be a sad face.
Right after the vision, Sukuna’s right leg gets trapped by a shadow, proving that Megumi is alive and fighting back. Sukuna realizes that although he had submerged Megumi’s soul, it has been awakened because Yuji constantly used Dismantle on him. But he says that since Mahoraga is destroyed, Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows technique is useless now. Yuji punches Sukuna in the face and smiles when he realizes that Megumi is fighting back.
Sukuna starts to lose the brawl as Yuji overpowers him with his punches. The King of Curses is forced to once again activate the Hollow Wicker Basket to shield himself. But suddenly, a few slashes come out and destroy the Cursed Tool that Yuji was wearing on his arms. The protagonist realizes that Sukuna has used Gojo’s technique and reset his burnt-out CT. Sukuna tries to use Domain Expansion and Yuji is seen missing two fingers from his hand. The chapter comes to an end as Sukuna feels something weird and one of his fingers is seen tied up in a mysterious place. The editor’s note at the end of the chapter spoilers says that the final battle of Shinjuku will start in the next chapter. Fans are also hoping for some more surprises as allegedly a new JJK project will also be announced next week.
