When Will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Release
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 has been recently confirmed for release in 2025. Yesterday, on May 8, 2024, an official Twitter (X) channel of Jujutsu Kaisen made this announcement along with a teaser. You can check out the JJK Season 3 announcement unofficial teaser below.
Mappa had terrible working conditions last year which became a topic of controversy among anime fans and Jujutsu Kaisen fans worldwide. Several talented and renowned animators have expressed their dissatisfaction with Mappa and after the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, many of them even left the company and or blacklisted it like Vincent Chansard. Since Mappa frequently hires outsiders for their projects, this was a big blow to them. Mappa is also working on their own original anime title called Zenshu which is likely to release sometime this year.
Expectations From Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will further escalate the action and story of Season 2 of the anime. It will adapt the Culling Games Arc which comes after the Shibuya Incident Arc. Several new characters are due introduction so Mappa will need to hire new VAs and so on. If Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is any indication then Season 3 will have to try to live up to that standard or even surpass it which is unimaginable.
That’s why we believe the anime will drop sometime in the latter half of 2025. For this year we can also look forward to Mappa’s work on the Chainsaw Man- The Movie: Reze Arc which will adapt the next canon arc of Chainsaw Man into a feature-length film.
