The previous chapter of Takeru Hokazono’s Kagurabachi manga highlighted the fallout of the failed Rakuzaichi auction. Thankfully, Chihiro and Hakuri were able to save everyone from the storehouse before Kyora Sazanami died. In the end, Chihiro had to make a tough decision to protect the enchanted blades, but it might change his life forever.

Chapter 45 of the manga will be out on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 8 AM PT. Fans won’t get an update this week as the WSJ magazine is on break for the Obon Holidays. Once it’s available, fans can read the upcoming chapter on the Manga Plus and Viz Media websites.

What Can You Expect From Kagurabachi Chapter 45?
The previous chapter pretty much put an end to the Rakuzaichi arc. Fans can expect to see Chihiro, Hakuri, and the others recuperate from their wounds. As the new arc begins, we might see Chihiro’s experiences now that he is set to become a member of the Kamunabi. The protagonist will also learn more about the enchanted blades, especially the Shinuchi, whose powers are both unknown and dangerous. You can also expect to see some new characters join the storyline as the plot progresses.
Kagurabachi Chapter 44 Recap
Chapter 44 of the manga begins with everyone in the auditorium realizing that Kyora Sazanami has passed away. When everyone tries to take the Shinuchi, it causes a ruckus. Amidst the chaos, Chihiro grabs the blade just as Shiba uses teleportation to take them away. Once outside, Shiba and Hakuri realize that Chihiro is not with them and start to panic as the building collapses. They learn that Chihiro is trapped by Tafuku in a barrier.

After a while, Tafuku carries Chihiro out of the building on his back. When he and Hiyuki leave, Shiba asks what happened. Hiyuki answers that she has made Chihiro an offer, which the other took. Chihiro sits down and asks Hakuri what he wants to do next. We see a flashback where they urge the rest of the Tou members to go back to the Sazanami family to take care of the younger members. Hakuri says that he can’t go back to his family since he is now an enemy of theirs. He asks Chihiro if he can continue to fight by his side.
The manga then shows us what happened inside Tafuku’s barrier. Chihiro says that although he wanted to possess the enchanted blades, he is unsure now that he has seen how devastatingly powerful the Shinuchi actually is. He cannot let the sword be on the loose and only the elders from Kamunabi can create a seal strong enough to contain it. However, the Hishaku might be able to take away the blade from the Kamunabi, which can bring horrible consequences. Hiyuki says that once the Kamunabi seals the Shinuchi blade, they will make sure it does not fall into the hands of evildoers. But Chihiro answers that he cannot take the chance. In the end, he asks Hiyuki to let him join the Kamunabi so that he can collect and protect all the enchanted blades from within the organization.
